When it comes to home routers, most users will likely disregard them until their videos start buffering or if their internet stops behaving. If the router is more than a few years old, however, then it may be time for an upgrade regardless of how well the router may be performing. Most older routers are capped at Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) speeds which can be a bottleneck to many newer Wi-Fi 6-enabled PCs, tablets, smartphones, and other home wireless devices.
The Jlink Wi-Fi 6 router is currently on sale for only $25 USD after applying the 30% off coupon code before checkout and the manual code 'CGWTG9GR' at the checkout screen. The dual-band router offers transfer rates of up to 1.8 Gbps compared to half that on many cheap Wi-Fi 5 routers. It also happens to be one of the least expensive Wi-Fi 6 routers currently available.
Everything else about the Jlink router is very basic which is not unexpected given its affordable price. The unit integrates no USB ports, for example, and so USB network drives are not plug-and-play. It also does not support the latest Wi-Fi 6E speeds which most higher-end laptops and smartphones now come with. For most home users, however, the Jlink AX1800 will still be a net upgrade.
