Deal | JBL Bar 5.0 soundbar with Dolby Atmos gets huge 50% discount

With the according amount of patience, bargain hunters can usually save a significant amount of hard-earned money on high-end television sets such as the beautiful LG G2 OLED, but this also applies to other home theater products like soundbars. For example, one particularly affordable Dolby Atmos-capable audio system from JBL has now been put on sale for its lowest price yet.

In this case, the Amazon-owned retailer Woot is selling the popular JBL Bar 5.0, which features a 5.0-channel setup with a maximum output of 250 watts, for US$199 including free standard shipping for Amazon Prime members. This Dolby Atmos soundbar originally carried a much higher price tag of US$399, which means that this deal offers a steep discount of 50 percent or US$200. The offer also undercuts Amazon's own price for the JBL Bar 5.0, which currently stands at US$249 and has never dropped below US$229 according to Camelcamelcamel.

In addition to the aforementioned Virtual Dolby Atmos feature, this standalone soundbar comes with HDMI ports that can be used for 4K passthrough. However, please note that the JBL Bar 5.0 does not sport a dedicated subwoofer, which means that this budget-friendly speaker system does not deliver the powerful thumping bass that some home theater enthusiasts are looking for, although some reviews claim that the four passive radiators are responsible for a surprisingly good low-frequency performance. Therefore, this soundbar deal is certainly worth a look for regular buyers as it provides a very decent bang for the buck.
