The Intel Core 9 273PQE has been spotted in the wild.
We now know that the upcoming Intel Bartlett Lake-S family will not witness a launch for consumers. However, the top-end Core 9 273PQE has somehow managed to find itself inside a Z790 board, despite not being able to boot.

Gamers looking to revive their LGA 1700 motherboards may have once looked out for the rumored Intel Core 200E "Bartlett Lake-S" CPUs with P-core exclusive designs. However, the lineup is no longer expected to arrive on consumer motherboards, and is intended to serve the edge and server markets instead.

That said, leaks happen and it appears that an Intel Core 9 273PQE CPU has somehow escaped into the wild, and has found itself in an Overclockers.net thread. Of course, the OP has confirmed that the CPU does not boot, after having attempted to do so in a Z790 motherboard. This is to be expected, since new generation CPUs will not boot without BIOS updates, and there have been none for this unreleased family of CPUs.

For those curious, the Intel Core 9 273PQE sits at the top of the Bartlett Lake-S lineup, sporting a whopping 12 performance cores. For comparison, the highest-end offerings in Intel's 12th, 13th, and 14th-gen lineups topped out at 8 P-cores only. Of course, the 273PQE CPU will not sport any efficiency cores, which reduces its overall core count.

Other members of the Bartlett Lake-S family include Core 7 and Core 5 members. For more information, kindly refer to the following table shared by leaker Jaykihn via X/Twitter and our report regarding the same. Considering that the highest-end Core 9 can boost to an impressive 5.9 GHz, the Bartlett Lake-S lineup would have definitely been welcomed by gamers looking to breathe some new life into their LGA 1700-based gaming rigs.
