With a highly competitive price tag, the Infinix HOT 40 looks like a pretty good deal for the money. It boasts an attractive design, materials, and a variety of color options, a good and comprehensive package, a great 90Hz display, a pleasant interface with plenty of features, decent performance, good cameras for daytime shooting, stereo sound, solid battery life, and the ability to use the smartphone as a power bank. Can one really complain about a budget device for its average night shooting quality or the absence of a “wow” effect when listening to music? The answer lies in the question itself. So, for its $160 price tag, the Infinix HOT 40 is a highly competitive and functional solution. By the way, about competitors. What models can be considered as alternatives to the HOT 40? For example, the Motorola Moto G24 Power.

The Infinix Hot 40 falls in the entry-level segment. But at the same time. You are getting a decent display, customizable software support, good enough camera results, and long-lasting battery life with storage expansion support. If you are looking for an alternative, then check out Tecno Spark 20 since it brings relativity the same specs. On the other hand, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro grants almost everything similar to the non-Pro variant except a faster refresh rate, UFS 2.2 storage support, powerful chipset, and more pixel camera setup. All those factors combined make this phone a better deal than the standard version. Yet, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro can be the perfect alternate choice for this phone. Overall, both the Infinix devices feel a bit overpriced as per the specs they offer to the users. So, check all of the options and make a clear decision according to your desire as the final decision is up to you.

Although Infinix isn't a well-known brand in most parts of the world, it makes bigger manufacturers a run for their money. The Hot 40 Pro stands out with a big display, a potent 108MP camera that makes nice stills day and night, fast charging, reverse wired charging, 8GB of RAM by default, and a set of nice-sounding stereo speakers. Battery life is dependable, especially when it comes to web browsing and calling. Sure, there are options with far superior OLED screens, but the Hot 40 Pro gets our approval. It's a well-balanced entry-level package with a feature-rich, albeit dated, software on board. It's far from being called a "gaming smartphone", but it would fit well in the pockets of users looking for a cheap, balanced solution.

Unboxing and reviewing the Infinix Hot 40 Pro, Free Fire Edition gaming phone, including lots of game testing and a full tour. Is the Infinix Hot 40 Pro Free Fire the best budget smartphone for gamers? Here's what you need to know! Now, this device is powered by Mediatek's Helio G99, so don't expect flagship phone performance. Genshin Impact will run like a dog, but battle royale games like PubG and of course Free Fire run well. The Infinix Hot 40 Pro also boasts long battery life, with a 5000mAh cell crammed inside (although charging is rather lethargic). That IPS display may lack sharp contrast, but it's spacious and reasonably poppy. Plus you get a stereo speaker setup and an actual headphone jack! The Infinix Hot 40 Pro also serves up plenty of storage, but the xOS software support is somewhat lacking with old Android 13 on board. So, if you're after a budget gaming phone in 2024, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro Free Fire certainly does the job.

Talking about the competition in this price segment first, the POCO M6 stands out for its performance, and could be worth a look for that, while those looking for 5G support can consider the Itel P55 5G. However, the Infinix Hot 40i’s highlight is its front camera. When people ask for phones with capable selfie cameras, we usually have to look towards higher price segments. Priced at Rs 9,299, the Hot 40i helps bridge this gap and comes across as a solid choice for selfie lovers at an affordable price point. The phone also brings a host of useful software features that add to the user experience, and therefore, comes across as a good buy in the sub-10k segment.

The Infinix Hot 40i offers various new features in comparison to the company's other budget devices. Features like Magic Ring, XClone, Xboost and others can come as a unique offering in the budget market. Additionally, the performance was satisfactory when it came to the most basic requirements for users. The design and massive display are also something that may be to buyers liking as many prefer bigger devices for gaming and streaming purposes. While the Infinix Hot 40i offers great value for basic tasks, for buyers who want to frequently multitask between demanding apps, play graphics-intensive games, or need powerful processing this smartphone's performance is challenging. In such cases, you can explore other devices which match your requirements.

Infinix designed the Infinix Hot 40i with exciting specs and features that make it a perfect smartphone on a budget for modern users. You get a modern design that will certainly please you and anyone else who sees it. You get a decent display with modern high-refresh-rate support. The cameras are good which you usually don’t see in a smartphone of this price range. The same goes for the battery and charger, no complaints. However, there are also some disadvantages. The chipset speed is decent, which may cause heating issues on low-RAM models. There’s also no protection for the display or any protection from water splashes. So, keep these in mind. However, if you are an average user and use a smartphone mainly for calling, texting, and social media, then we believe this smartphone can be perfect for you. There’s another smartphone that could provide the same experience.

74.86%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
