Google launched the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro in October of last year. The smaller of the two, the Google Pixel 7, presents a stellar value proposition as it only costs US$599 at full retail. However, if you are in the US, you can have the phone for considerably cheaper provided you are willing to port your number over to Mint Mobile. For the uninitiated, Mint Mobile is a virtual carrier that relies on T-Mobile’s network.
Mint Mobile now has the brand new Google Pixel 7 5G for only US$299 if you choose any 12-month data plan that Mint has slashed by 50% (via slickdeals). For instance, if you opt for a 12-month 4 GB plan, you can get the service for US$90 rather than US$180. Adding in an additional one-time recovery fee of US$18.50 brings the total rate of this deal to US$407.5 which is quite a saving on the regular rates of the phone and the data plan.
What’s more, if you don’t want to use Mint Mobile, you can just buy the cheapest 12-month bundle and not use it as the Google Pixel 7 on offer is completely unlocked.
When it comes to the phone itself, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent device in almost all areas. It has a very good camera system, a beautiful 90Hz display, ample battery life, and five years of updates from Google. Put simply, at the currently discounted rate, the Google Pixel 7 is potentially in a no-brainer category.
