Honor 8X smartphone now official for U.S. market
After announcing the Honor 8X for the Chinese market last month, it was only a matter of time before it would be announced for the North American market. After all, the Honor series has been selling quite well this year despite having almost no presence in brick-and-mortar locations across the United States.
The specifications for the North America Honor 8X remain identical save for the usual changes in radio and LTE bands. Thus, users can expect the same 6.5-inch 2340 x 1080 resolution notched display and octa-core Kirin 710 SoC as the overseas version. Honor is boasting its high 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, narrow 4.25 mm bottom bezel, AI cameras, and textured glass body to stand out from the sea of competing mainstream Android devices.
The manufacturer is not yet ready to announce prices or exact dates of availability for the Honor 8X. As a starting point, the Honor 7X launched for just under $200 in the U.S. and so we can hopefully expect the same from the Honor 8X. We do know that multiple SKUs will be made available (JSN-L21, JSN-L22, JSN-L23, JSN-L24) that differ in RAM (4 GB or 6 GB) and storage (64 GB or 128 GB) capacities much like last year's Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
