HP's ZBook Firefly 14 G9 mobile workstation wants to offer a lot of performance in a compact package. However, the result is quite disappointing especially in terms of CPU performance since Intel's Alder Lake chip is throttled heavily. Update: Massive performance improvements after system updates

After our review of the ZBook Firefly 14 G9, HP released updates to improve the performance. However, further updates were released a short time later, in which the CPU performance was again somewhat reduced. We, therefore, review the performance of the compact workstation once again.

With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
NVIDIA T550 Laptop GPU: Entry level dedicated graphics card for professional laptops based on the consumer GeForce MX550 with 1024 shaders and a 64 bit memory bus. Therefore it uses the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. Sometimes also called Quadro T550.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
