HP Pavilion x360 15 (15-cr0000) is a very unusual device. Both positively and negatively. If you factor only a few of the features it has – good processor, adequate battery life and obviously – the fact it is a 15-inch convertible for a very good price – this would be a gem in the world of laptops. However, it would all be too good to be true.

The Pavilion series is supposed to be HP's entry-level lineup of affordable laptops. This particular configuration, however, is egregiously bad because its high asking price does not reflect the low-end 768p touchscreen.

The HP Pavilion x360 15 is a solid choice for consumers seeking a plus-size convertible that doesn't cost a bundle, though little about it excites. We'd probably favor the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 because it has a slightly brighter (though still not dazzling) display; plus, 1080p resolution and Wi-Fi 6 come standard on all models, even the base one. But that system doesn't come with a stylus. Your choice may come down to a coin toss.

HP: Founded in 1939, the US company is a major server and printer manufacturer and one of the leading IT companies in the world. Until 2015, the company was called Hewlett-Packard Company. After a split, the computer division was renamed HP Inc.
In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Radeon 530: Entry class dedicated graphics card with 320 or 384 shaders (depending on the used chip) and DDR3 or GDDR5 graphics memory (both with a 64 Bit bus). Both chips are used for a few years, e.g. even starting with the Radeon 8590M (28nm GCN).
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 48EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 48 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
i7-8565U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i3-1125G4: Tiger Lake based quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. Offers 4 cores clocked at 2 - 3.7 GHz and a UHD Graphics with 48 EUs. Manufactured on the improved 10nm+ (SuperFin) process at Intel.

66%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
