Model: The HP 15-BS043NS is part of the mid-to-low range of 15.6" laptops from today's HP generation. Models in this series are competing against other series such as Lenovo's IdeaPad 320, Acer's Aspire ES15 and Inspiron 15 3000 from Dell. This laptop a good choice for those users who are looking for a 15.6" laptop with an affordable price tag and a competitive processor to work with a medium level of performance. Both, weight and thickness of the HP 15-BS043NS are similar to other conventional 15.6-inch laptops. The laptop measures 380 x 253.8 x 23.8 mm and weighs 2.1 kg. The plastic case is black inside and silver outside. There is a single fan, which together with the low consumption of the Intel Core i7-7500U, will achieve good temperatures both in the housing and in the components. The HP 15-BS043NS mounts the Intel Core i7-7500U processor. It consists of 2 cores and 4 logical threads (HyperThreading), has 4 MB of cache and offers a frequency that ranges from 2.7 GHz and 3.5 GHz maximum in a single core, thanks to Turbo Boost technology of Intel. The Intel Core i7-7500U is used by many laptops in this price range, being able to perform jobs with a medium-high level of demand, for example, photographic editing or simple video editing.
Graphics integrated into the processor is the Intel HD Graphics 620, a model of the lower graphics. At a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a user will only be able to run smoothly those games that are not very demanding with a medium or low level of detail. It also comes with a hard drive of 1 TB at 5400 RPM and 8 GB of DDR4 of RAM at 2133 MHz in one module. As for the display, the HP 15-BS043NS uses a TN panel with a resolution 1.366 x 768 pixels. Thanks its HDMI output, a user will be able to connect the laptop to a television or an external monitor. Although USB Type-C is missing, the connectivity is convenient for a model of this range with two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, a Gigabit port and a Wifi Dual Band Bluetooth chip with Bluetooth 4.2. The camera will allow a user to make conferences at 720p. Some will appreciate that HP has not forgotten an optical drive on this computer. The battery of this HP is one of the few that is easily extracted. It has 4 cells and a capacity of 41 Wh. It is possible to reach 5 and a half hours of undemanding use. The HP 15-BS043NS is one of those laptops with a lot of value for its price. It will serve any kind of user looking for productivity in an affordable machine.
