Google lists Android Wear devices in line for Oreo update
Google has announced the list of Android smartwatches devices that will be receiving an update to Android Oreo. Although not a major feature upgrade, the new version of Android Wear moves the system base code from Android Nougat 7.1.1 to Android Oreo 8.0.0. Just a handful of new features will be in tow, including vibration strength settings, touch to lock and support for additional countries and languages.
The Android Wear Oreo update is currently available for these devices:

- LG Watch Sport
- Louis Vuitton Tambour
- Michael Kors Sofie
- Montblanc Summit
The following devices are set to receive the update to Oreo, although the timeframes haven’t been advised:

- Casio WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch
- Diesel Full Guard
- Emporio Armani Connected
- Fossil Q Control
- Fossil Q Explorist
- Fossil Q Founder 2.0

Users are advised to contact their device manufacturer for specific release dates. While the vibration strength setting is some we are looking forward to, the update will not move the Android Wear version beyond the current status of 2.6.0.
