The coming months are full of interesting events - MWC 2017 kicks off in about a month, followed by Google's annual developer conference that is scheduled to take place take place in California from May 17-19.
Yesterday, Google sent developers on a scavenger hunt that ended up with the unveiling of this year's Google I/O event. The hunt itself consisted of five puzzles, and the result is the location of the conference - the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, as well as the date - May 17 to May 19.
Google I/O will take place between two large tech events a lot of people are waiting for, namely MWC and IFA. The first one will take place in Barcelona, between February 27 and March 2, while the other happens in Berlin, between September 1 and September 6.
Sadly, while the new Google I/O 2017 website is already up and running, it only says "Check back soon for more details." at this stage. We will get back to it as soon as the new details surface, so stay tuned. If it helps, Google unveiled last year's I/O event in January and followed with more details in March, so this year they might do this the same way.
Codrut Nistor - Senior Tech Writer - 6287 articles published on Notebookcheck since 2013
In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
