The Garmin Epix Pro 2 multisport tracking watch with built-in flashlight has dropped to its lowest ever price on Amazon before the Black Friday week takes hold.
Released at an MSRP of more than a grand, the Garmin watch just got discounted up to 47% for the 51 mm version with larger 1.4-inch display in Whitestone color scheme. The popular black titanium Epix Pro 2 version in 42 mm size is also heavily discounted by 41% and went from a $999 MSRP to $589.83 now, cheaper than the last best price it was available for back in July.
The new Garmin Epix Pro 2 deal is for the Sapphire edition with a tougher, more premium display, too. For comparison, Walmart is also having an Epix Pro 2 sale, but for the cheaper Standard edition in 51 mm size that goes for $619 there, a whopping $100 more than it is available for on Amazon.
While getting a bit long in the tooth, the Epix Pro 2 is still a premium Garmin sports watch that can go against the Apple Watch Ultra directly, but whose launch price may have deterred many a fan from acquiring it. It comes with an always-on OLED display in 1.2", 1.3", or 1.4-inch sizes, protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire glass and encircled by premium titanium or stainless steel bezels, depending on the color of the casing.
As usual with Garmin watches, the Epix Pro 2 comes with an excellent battery life of up to a month away from the charger. Needless to say, if the screen is kept in an always-on mode to display pertinent information at a glance, Garmin rates it for a battery life of up to 11 days, but that is still an excellent metric for all the Epix Pro 2 has to offer and certainly miles better than Apple's Ultra timepiece.
Granted, it doesn't have the water-resistance level for diving activities of the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, or its newer interface, but then again it offers longer battery life, and is twice cheaper now. It does, however, offers nearly all activity, health, and sleep tracking options that Garmin sports watches are renowned for, including the Endurance Score and ECG features, now at a much more accessible price that would make it a great first premium Garmin watch.
