Gamers Nexus recently dropped a bombshell video, alleging that Nvidia had tried to influence GN’s coverage of the company’s products. Coupled with Nvidia’s tactics around RTX 5060 previews, Team Green is amidst a growing controversy. Gamers Nexus has now decided to go even deeper into Nvidia’s potential “shady” business practices.
Announcing its decision on the Gamers Nexus YouTube channel, GN is opening a full investigation to understand/reveal Nvidia’s “underhanded” business dealings. Per GN, “We are not going to let go of this bone until we fully understand the extent to which NVIDIA may strongarm businesses.”
It seems GN’s interactions with other media and non-media people at Computex 2025 have been the catalysts behind the decision to do a deep investigation. GN claims to have been approached by “several system integrators, partners, and members of the media” who informed GN of Nvidia’s dubious practices.
GN further claims that “several people at Computex today who expressed that they have felt 'threatened' by NVIDIA at various points”.
Gamers Nexus has lately pivoted from being a channel dedicated purely to enthusiast PC hardware to a media house covering PC hardware and aiming to protect consumer interests. This shift has led GN to investigate not only colleagues like Linus Tech Tips but also big companies like Asus.
So, it was only a matter of time before GN went after Nvidia, seeing as how Team Green’s reputation among gamers has been going downhill since the crypto-driven GPU stock shortages from a few years ago.
The recent AI boom that has seen Nvidia become one of the biggest companies on the planet has also compounded this consumer distrust. Many gamers now see Nvidia as prioritizing its AI customers, an area of tremendous financial gain, resulting in a disappointing GPU landscape with stock problems and rampant price gouging.
Finally, GN invites everyone, including media, hardware makers, and other businesses, who have anything to report about Nvidia’s problematic tactics, to reach out to the channel.
We’ll keep an eye on GN’s investigation as it moves forward.
