Galaxy S5 expected at Staples on the 20th of April
Samsung's Galaxy S5 was officially released on April 11th, but it still hasn't made its way into all stores. That is changing rapidly though, and Staples is joining the party with availability expected as soon as this Sunday.
According to the company, the Galaxy S5 will be available on April 20th, retailing for $199 with a two-year contract. Staples is also offering a number of promotions that could make the cost more palatable, starting with a $5 coupon upon checking mobile upgrade eligibility. In addition, customers who purchase a Galaxy S4 or S5 with a two-year contract can receive up to $300 off instantly if they trade-in an eligible smartphone, with a minimum of $50 guaranteed.
The company's price match policy will also apply here, and they plan on matching any competitor's listing, including Amazon, to go along with 5% back for Staples Rewards customers. Unfortunately, only the Verizon and AT&T versions of the device will be carried, and Sprint and T-Mobile customers may have to head elsewhere.
