The latest tablet PC from Fujitsu is priced starting from $1,149

Fujitsu’s Lifebook T580 Tablet PC, which went on sale in Germany last month, is now available for purchase for US consumers. You can grab your piece of the hardware from Fujitsu’s online shop.

The Fujitsu LifeBook T580 tablet is equipped with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 pixel multitouch capacitive display and an active digitizer for pen input. The ultraportable is propelled by an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor, depending on the option chosen. Also under the hood is a minimum of 2GB DDR3 800 MHz SDRAM (expandable up to 8GB), a 160 GB, 5400 rpm hard drive minimum ( with an option to opt for up to 320GB) or a 64/128GB Solid State Drive. Other standard features include 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, webcam, a 3-cell 2900mAh /6-cell 5800mAh battery, Computrace BIOS, hard drive shock protection, fingerprint sensor, spill-resistant keyboard, light sensor and a smart card slot. The Fujitsu newbie runs on the Windows 7 Professional OS.

The base model of the Lifebook T580 Tablet PC will empty your pockets by a mere $1,149 and is powered by an Intel Core i3-380UM processor. The other, higher-end model will set you back by a price of $1,399 and is equipped with an Intel Core i5-560UM processor.
