Fujifilm X half with 1 inch sensor gets major price cut

The Fujifilm X half was launched on the market in May 2025 for a recommended retail price of $849. The price of the compact camera has been reduced by now, since stores like Amazon and B&H Photo are offering the camera for $649. Since B&H does not even list this as a sale, it seems like Fujifilm has quietly reduced the list price.
At this lower price, the Fujifilm X half is an interesting option on the camera market. With a 17.8 megapixel sensor in 1 inch format and a lens with a full frame equivalent focal length of 32 mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8, the camera hardware can hardly keep up with a current flagship smartphone on paper.
However, the Fujifilm X half offers plenty of retro charm, as the X half was inspired by an analog half-format camera. For this reason, Fujifilm relies on a sensor and a display in portrait format, while an optical viewfinder is available for composing photos. A pill-shaped touchscreen to the left of the main display shows the currently selected film simulation.
In film camera mode, photos can only be viewed once a pre-selected virtual film roll has been photographed to completion. Photos can be printed on compatible Instax Link instant printers without going through the smartphone, but photos can also be transferred wirelessly to a smartphone via the associated app. More details about the Fujifilm X half can be found at on the official product page.
