Ayaneo, a prolific manufacturer of a variety of handhelds and PCs, appears to have bitten off more than it can chew with its broad product portfolio in recent years. This has, according to the company CEO, resulted in rushed products with "service and after-sales issues". Arthur Zhang details these problems in a detailed blog post and goes on to outline the road map for 2026.
The company plans to implement significant improvements in several areas. Support, for example, will be improved in terms of both response times and the entire after-sales service. Other plans include the introduction of a ticket system, faster delivery of replacement devices and the establishment of warehouses in other countries outside of China. Furthermore, simultaneous global launches and reduced reliance on crowdfunding campaigns are promised.
Improvements in quality control are also on the cards, which will extend to suppliers, among others. To demonstrate its genuine commitment and avoid rushing the next product onto the market, Ayaneo has postponed the crowdfunding campaign for the Ayaneo Pocket Play, which was originally scheduled for January 13. Development of the smartphone will continue with full focus, with a relaunch expected in late January or early February.
