First iPhone 18 Pro design models hands-on video reveals the new colors in different lighting

Following our initial report on the leaked images of iPhone 18 Pro design models, we now have our first look at some hands-on videos of Apple’s upcoming flagships, or at least a plastic representation of them.
New hands-on videos have surfaced, showing the successors to the iPhone 17 Pro in a slightly better light, literally. As previously detailed, the overall back design is expected to remain consistent with last year's model. However, these new videos provide a clearer, perhaps more practical idea of the upcoming color lineup.

The hands-on footage shared on Weibo offers a view of the Black, Silver, Light Blue, and Dark Cherry models. Meanwhile, the video you see attached below shows the Light Blue and Dark Cherry options. The latter (which is said to be the lineup's new hero color) stands out, appearing as a deep, wine-inspired red shade.
Of course, the actual iPhone 18 Pro units will reflect the light differently, as they are expected to use the same brushed aluminum-glass combo as the iPhone 17 Pro as far as materials are concerned (that’s despite rumors of a return to titanium).
- iPhone 17 Pro colors: Silver, Deep Blue, Cosmic Orange
- iPhone 18 Pro colors: Silver, Black, Light Blue, Dark Cherry (leaked)
Once again, it’s important to remember that these design models are primarily produced for case manufacturers to test accessory fits. While they are not a perfect representation of Apple’s final manufacturing process, these hands-on videos provide a much more accurate expectation of what the iPhone 18 Pro will look like compared to static renders.
As you can already tell, the iPhone 18 Pro hype train is already going full speed ahead of the expected announcement in September, when Apple’s slabs should be joined by the first foldable iPhone (Ultra).
