First Samsung Series 3 laptop starts shipping, boasts a 12.5" screen
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has released their first model of the Series 3 laptops called Samsung series 3 350U2B. The distribution of this laptop is still only through some of the online retailers. Though termed as laptop but actually it can stand between laptops and the netbooks – let’s call it an ultraportable. Though it has good enough configuration but the missing CD ROM may be a major factor regarding its sales. Samsung has valued it as a $735 product.
The Samsung Series 3 350U2B has a 12.5 inch display panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio and Active Matrix TFT Colour LCD display. The maximum native resolution is of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a powerful 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor. Samsung has also provided a 4 GB RAM of DDR3 SDRAM, and also has a 500 GB hard disk drive with this model.
For networking it has the 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth 3.0. Other interfacing ports include two USB ports, a VGA port and an Ethernet jack.
The laptop weighs around 3.1 pounds and has the dimensions measuring 11.8 inch x 7.7 inch x 1 inch.
