Doogee is preparing its upcoming Valencia2 Y100 Pro smartphone for a launch this coming month. While the device was revealed just a week ago, the manufacturer has only now confirmed a June 25 worldwide release date.
The official specifications below are middle-of-the-road, but its brushed metal back cover, nearly bezelless design, and Gorilla Glass display are both uncommon in the budget smartphone space. Another notable feature is its octa-core MT6753 SoC, which was only recently announced by MediaTek earlier this year.
The Valencia2 Y100 Pro will be available for $119. Expect our full review of the device in the coming weeks.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I'm not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
