Computex 2015 | Dell unveils new Inspiron laptops
At Computex 2015, Dell announced today a new line-up of its affordable Inspiron laptops. It includes includes the Inspiron 5000 series as well as Inspiron 15 7000 series 2-in-1.
The new Inspiron 5000 series laptops come in three sizes: 14, 15 and 17 inches. CPU options include processors from both Intel and AMD. The 14-inch model features HD (1366 x 768) resolution display. The 15-inch is available with both HD and FullHD resolution, while the 17-inch model is outfitted with FullHD display. Optional touch versions are also available. Additional options include: a precision touchpad, backlit keyboard and True Color software, which allows users to customize the display’s color temperature, vibrancy and tone.
The new Inspirons 5000 are available in several colors („Beijing Red”, „Standard Black”, „Theoretical Gray”, „Alpine White”, and „Sky Blue”) starting today in the USA, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific regions and via Dell’s website. Prices start at: $449 for the 14-inch version, $599 for 15-inch and $699 for the 17-incher. The new Inspiron 14 and 15 5000 Series will offer Braswell processors in early-August.
Another novelty, the Inspiron 15 7000 is a 2-in-1 laptop that allows flipping the screen 360 degrees and thus transforming into a tablet. The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 features a sub-20 mm thin, brushed aluminium body and FullHD, IPS display, a backlit, spill-resistant keyboard and battery allowing for up to 9 hours of operation. The True Color technology, available as an option in the 5000 series, is a standard here. The Inspiron 15 7000 series 2-in-1 will be available from June 23 in the USA, via Dell.com, starting at $549.99.
Dell also announced the dates of Braswell CPU refresh for its 3000 series laptops. The current Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 will be available with new CPU’s on July 29, starting from $350, while the Inspiron 14 and 15 3000 series will gain their upgrades in early-August.
