Slightly edited article continues as follows:

A few weeks have now passed since Dell opened pre-orders for its latest MacBook Pro rival. As we discussed at the time, the XPS 16 Creator Edition took on the latest MacBook MacBook Pro 16 (curr. $2,429 on Amazon) with a choice of 18-core and 20-core versions of Nvidia RTX Spark N1X chipsets. However, this was only true in the US from Best Buy.

Now, Dell has started selling its latest 16-inch laptop directly. Not only that, but it has simultaneously released the XPS 16 Creator Edition globally, too. At the time of publication, prices start at $3,799, CAD 5,299, €4,419, £3,845 and AUD 6,030 in the US, Canada, the Eurozone, the UK and Australia, respectively. That said, this price includes only an 18-core processor with a 5,120-core GPU, 32 GB RAM, and 512 GB of storage.

Meanwhile, the 20-core version of the RTX Spark N1X with a 6,144-core GPU begins at $3,999, CAD 5,599, €5,228, £4,551, AUD 7,391 in the same markets. Also, this variant upgrades to 1 TB of storage while retaining 32 GB of RAM; 64 GB of RAM is available, too. Finally, Dell sells a 128 GB of RAM version with the same 20-core chipset and 1 TB SSD for AUD 11,535.85, €7,370, £6,415 in its configurator.

For the time being, Dell is not offering any customisation options in North America. As a result, 128 GB of RAM must be configured with a 2 TB SSD, which results in the XPS 16 Creator Edition leaping to CAD 9,699 and $6,999. Moreover, all SKUs include Windows 11 Home by default, with Dell selling a Windows 11 Pro licence as a paid upgrade. In all cases, the XPS 16 Creator Edition contains a 99 Wh battery and a 3.2K OLED display that peaks at 400 nits in SDR mode, 1,000 nits in HDR mode and features a 30-120 Hz variable refresh rate. Please see our launch article and Dell's website for more details about its latest 16-inch laptop.
