Dell Streak 7 might get Honeycomb update this September

Teaser
Honeycomb official updates to land on for Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi by September

Tired of searching the unofficial updates for your new Del Streak 7? Now your worries aren’t getting extended any farther as an official honeycomb update is expected to be arriving shortly for Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi version. The exact details of the update is yet to be revealed but we can know this for sure that Honeycomb is tablet optimized and the operating system is going to be more energy efficient, thus leading to enhanced battery life.

The current OS Froyo is reported to have a problem with the battery as it doesn’t give too much of standby.  Actually the device constantly pings on a server leading to constant battery consumption.  This problem is said to be fixed by this update.

There is a bad news for the 3G/4G T-mobile version of the tablet, as they apparently won’t get updated. In fact, this model may not get updated ever. Though this may be too harsh for the users but if they don’t get a Honeycomb, we just hope Gingerbread is coming – at least!
