Dell to re-enter tablet market?

Teaser
Dell might be releasing a new tablet later this year, which can be regarded as reentering of the PC manufacturer to the tablet business

Earlier there was news of Dell withdrawing from the tablet business as they had killed their 5 and 7 inch Dell Streak tablets. But now it seems they want to reenter the tablet market as they are planning for a new model later this year.

Besides a late 2012 introduction nothing much is known about the upcoming Dell’s tablet. Till now there has not been any information regarding the operating system Dell will be using for this new tablet. However with the delay of the tablet release may also be accounted for the launch of the Microsoft’s new Windows 8 tablet version.

They also have acknowledged that the tablets are not only meant for the hardware configuration as in the case of the PC, they are mainly represented by the overall ecosystem of the device. This includes the operating system other features along with the hardware.

The early streak models of Dell are now on sale with a stock clearance mind just like the early HP TouchPads. However, the Dell tablets are not receiving the same response, as received by the TouchPad, Dell even opted for a notice on the product's webpage.

Although Dell could not make its mark in the tablet market they are now entering the Ultrabook market and have already announced their latest XPS 13 at the CES 2012.
