Codee has unveiled the Codeebot physical programming system to create software for controlling AI robots. Codeebot uses physical blocks that are connected together, similar to coding blocks in Scratch, a visual programming language language created by the MIT Media Lab.
The Codeebot system does not require a computer for children to create code. Instead, they assemble code logic represented as different magnetic blocks to create software. When assembled, built-in lights show the flow of execution through the software, while a rotary knob enables step-by-step code execution, allowing for easier flow-tracing and debugging. A built-in ChatGPT-powered AI voice tutor allows children to ask for help in understanding logic and coding.
The system can be used to program AI robots with a variety of capabilities, including opening curtains, dispensing soap, and moving trash cans. Makers can also use the Codeebot to create sophisticated programs for their projects.
Codeebot is scheduled for launch in February 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
