Citroën ë-C4 X all-electric car unveiled with 223 mile range and 100 kW fast charging support
Citroën has revealed its all-electric New ë-C4 X. The EV has up to 223 miles (~359 km) range from a 50 kWh battery, with regenerative braking technology enabling you to extend your range mid-journey. You can recharge the car fully via a 7.4 kW Wallbox in 7.5 hours or with a three-phase electric supply and the 11 kW onboard charger in 5 hours. Plus, the vehicle supports 100 kW fast charging, reaching 80% in 30 minutes. Citroën offers a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles for 70% of the battery’s capacity.
The EV has a 100 kW, 136 hp electric drivetrain delivering up to 260 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (~100 kph) in 9.5 seconds, with a top speed of 93 mph (~150 kph). The company describes the ë-C4 X as a cross-segment vehicle, between a medium hatchback and an SUV. The four-door model has driver assistance systems such as Level 2 semi-autonomous driving aid, which combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Active Lane Positioning.
The car is equipped with a 10-in MyCitroën Drive Plus infotainment interface, also used in the New C5 X. You can control elements of the vehicle using the Hello Citroen voice commands with natural speech recognition. The Citroën ë-C4 X will launch in the UK in early 2023; it is currently unclear how much the car will cost.
