CTL announces 11.6" Education Chromebook
CTL isn't the first name that comes to mind when looking for a new Chromebook (or any other laptop for that matter), but the company is still throwing their hat into the ring. A new Education Chromebook was debuted today at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference and is available immediately from CTL.
With an an 11.6-inch display and a resolution of 1366x720 pixels, the Chromebook is powered by a fanless, Bay Trail Intel Celeron N2930 CPU and 16GB of solid state storage. 4GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 100GB of Google Cloud storage are also along for the ride, while the battery supposedly lasts up to 8 hours.
Of course, the Education Chromebook wouldn't feature that name if it didn't have a few features designed especially for students, including a water-resistant case, a low-profile carry handle and a plastic bumper designed to protect the device from nasty falls. And while the Chromebook is intended mainly for students, anybody looking for a durable Chromebook can purchase it, though they'll have to fork over $279.
