Amazon has once again dropped the price of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones in Black, Deep Plum, or Lunar Blue to their lowest price ever after a 30% discount off the list price of $429, following the release of the QuietComfort Ultra (2nd gen) earlier this year.
Although both are top-notch in their active noise cancelling, as tested by multiple sites including Rtings, the newer model edges out the older model in its audio quality thanks to the use of CustomTune technology, which calibrates the sound reproduction for each individual's ears. For the older Ultra, users can adjust the equalization using the Bose app on a connected smartphone.
The Ultra delivers up to 24 hours of playback time while connected to up to two devices at once over wireless Bluetooth connections, according to Bose. During calls, background noise is reduced using an adaptive microphone system. The battery takes three hours to recharge using an external USB-C power source.
Buy the discounted Bose QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones on Amazon today, or move up to the Ultra 2nd gen at full price. An alternative most reviewers frequently find competitive with the Ultra headphones is the Sony WH-1000XM5, also on sale at Amazon.
