AtomStack A70 Pro: New, extremely powerful laser cutter cuts metal, MDF and thick wood
AtomStack is launching a new and particularly powerful laser cutter onto the market, the A70 Pro. Customers are advised to inform themselves in detail about the dangers of such technology, which not only includes emissions of potentially harmful exhaust gases, but also the risk of fire as well as certain dangers to the body and the eyes.
The cutter can process materials with dimensions of 500 x 400 millimeters and is said to have a repeat accuracy of 0.1 millimeters. The wavelength of the laser is 455 Nm. Users can seamlessly toggle between 35W and 75W, allowing optimal performance for the corresponding material. According to AtomStack, thin steel plates can be cut, along with plastic and cardboard. Leather, wood and circuit boards can also be engraved. AtomStack states that metal plates up to 0.3 millimeters thick can be cut, as well as softwood up to 30 millimeters thick. MFD boards up to 12 millimeters thick are also said to be possible.
Automatic and manual focusing is supported. The maximum speed is specified as 400 mm/s. Fires are detected automatically, whereupon a work process is immediately stopped. A screen is available, allowing for control without a smartphone or computer. Connection via WiFi and USB Type C is supported, and LaserGRBL, LightBurn and AtomStack Studio can be used.
The AtomStack A70 Pro laser cutter is available to preorder now at a price of around $1799, with delivery scheduled for mid-March.
