Asus set to introduce thin-and-light U31E, U31SD, and U36SD notebooks

Teaser
The 13.3-inch laptops will reportedly sport Sandy Bridge processors and both integrated and discrete graphics. Launch dates and prices are yet to be announced.

According to Swedish site Technytt, Asus will be readying three 13.3-inch notebooks equipped with Intel’s 2nd generation Core processors, the U31E, U31SD, and U36SD.

Specifications for the three notebooks are currently not well known. The U31E will supposedly be stuck with integrated graphics claims Technytt, but the other two models will make use of the Nvidia GeForce GT 520M.

Fortunately, the U31SD is already listed on the official Asus website, although with no official price or launch date to be found. According to its fact sheet, the U31SD will come equipped with either a Core i5-2410M or Core i3-2310M, up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, integrated and discrete Nvidia graphics, and up to 10 hours of battery life with its optional 8-cell battery. While there are no USB 3.0 ports, the laptop will still include HDMI and VGA-out, with the total package weighing just 1.78 kg (3.92 lbs).

While availability dates are yet to be official for the laptops, we can safely assume a release sometime later this year, especially when one of the three models is already up and running on the company’s official website.
