Asus is promoting the Zenfone 3 series ahead of its launch
Asus announced the Zenfone 3 family of smartphones during Computex 2016 in Taiwan. It consists of the midrange Zenfone 3, the big phablet version Zenfone 3 Ultra and the flagship Zenfone 3 Deluxe. All three of them will come to the USA later this year, probably in the fourth quarter of the year, according to some information we have received. There will also be entry level devices, the Zenfone 3 Laser and the Zenfone 3 Max. In the meantime, Asus is committed to making waiting for the new devices as painless as possible by promoting them with two new videos, that Asus released on Youtube lately.
The first one does not really give us any new information about the devices, the second video however goes into some detail about the camera features of the new Zenfone 3 family, which Asus calls Pixelmaster to differentiate itself from other smartphone manufacturers. Apparently the new Zenfone 3 smartphones will combine three autofocus technologies for faster operation and also include Deep Trench Isolation which Apple already used in their iPhone 6s last year. A 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) system will make your photos and videos as stable as possible plus a better low light mode is supposed to give you better looking pictures in darker environments.
