Asus N56 now available for pre-order

The Taiwanese maker to soon launch the 15.6-inch N56 with Ivy Bridge Core i7-3610QM, GT 650M Kepler graphics, 1920x1080 resolution display and 8GB DDR3 RAM for $1300
Allen Ngo,

The recent launch of Ivy Bridge signifies a slew of new releases from manufacturers left and right, all sporting Intel’s latest Core CPU.

The upcoming Asus N56 will be the latest mainstream offering from Asus. First revealed back in February, certain online retailers are already listing the notebook complete with a quad-core Core i7-3610QM, 1080p display, GeForce GT 650M, 8GB RAM and a 750GB HDD. Common connectivity features like wireless-n, USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA and Bluetooth are expected to be included as well.

In terms of looks, the new model will be sporting a dust-repellent keyboard and an aluminum chassis. The entire unit is currently listed at 6 pounds (2.72kg) with a thickness of 1.3 inches (3.3cm).

Although only one model is currently available for pre-order at $1300, we expect Asus to launch the 17.3-inch variant (N76) soon after. Additional specs and images can be seen on the product page here.
