The renders are based on the specs leaked by industry insider Jon Prosser and depict the foldable iPhone featuring an inner display that consists of two hingeless screens similar to the Microsoft Surface Duo design. Artist theHacker34 also lists some specs that are probably on his wishlist, as no other source has mentioned some of these.
Bogdan Solca,

It is no secret that Apple is working on a folding iPhone to be released in the next few years, and rumors regarding the possible specs have been circulating for some time now. The latest major leak coming from industry insider Jon Prosser revealed that Apple is not really keen on flexible displays and is looking to implement a two-pane design similar to the one featured on Microsoft’s Surface Duo instead. Renders of such an iPhone model have already started to pop up on the net, but artist theHacker34 took things to the next level with fully animated renders that depict his vision of the foldable iPhone based on the leaked specs.

The animated renders are also accompanied with detailed specs, and some of these appear to be the artist’s wishes as they have not been leaked anywhere else. Starting off with the displays, the cover screen features a 6.3-inch Super Retina panel with 2590 x 1279 resolution @458 ppi and TrueTone color gamut + Haptic Touch, while the inside screen unfolds into a 7.8-inch Super Retina XDR Fusion display made of two hingeless panes that together offer a 2433 x 2605 resolution @458 ppi plus 120 Hz ProMotion refresh rate on top of the two features from the cover display. The inner display also comes with pen support and the artist came up with the slogan “iPhone outside, iPad inside.”

On the back of the device, we find the camera setup that is not too different from the one on the iPhone 11 Pro. There are three 12 MP sensors with various types of lenses plus the LIDAR scanner for ToF calculations, but there is no mention of any selfie cam. Of course the SoC has to be the latest A14 Bionic, but, depending on release time, the foldable device could get the next gen chip. Some of the other features that are briefly mentioned towards the end of the short clip include faster FaceID, 25 W fast charging, up to 1 TB storage, improved AR experience, iOS 14, 5G modem and 4.5 mm thickness when opened.

theHacker343 also estimates that the MSRP for the foldable iPhone would be $1799, but previous leaks hinted at a lower price closer to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip that is now available for $1299.
