Archos updates its $99 Arnova 7 tablet already

Archos might be planning to release a successor to the affordable Arnova 7 to give it a more futuristic look

The $99 Arnova 7 is probably one of the cheapest tablets in market, especially when taking into account the big brand like Archos. Now only about three months after the toy was released, the French tablet maker might already be planning an up-gradation. It looks like that can be an updated Arnova if a recent FCC filing is to be believed. The filing shows a codename called Arnova 7b G2, which, according to Wirelessgoodness means Generation 2.

The device’s back shows a new, curved design slightly different from the original Arnova 7 which sported flat sides and a tapered top and bottom.
