Apple reports 7.33 million iPads sold during the last quarter

The Apple iPad is credited with being one of the most popular gadgets of recent times. As a proof to the success story of the iPad, Apple has brought forth interesting facts in its its quarterly report for the period ending December 25^th, stating that the company sold 7.33 million iPads during the quarter. The quarter before that saw Apple selling 4.19 million iPads. Further the quarter previous to the one last mentioned saw 3.27 million iPads being lapped up.

Adding the above figures leads to a whopping 14.79 million iPads being offloaded by the company since the iPad was launched less than a year ago. Pretty impressive feat achieved by Apple we must admit.

What remains to be seen now is whether Apple succeeds in maintaining its market share even as completion heats up as a result of tablets from companies such as Motorola, RIM, Asus, and HP enter the market.
