The X7 promises to be the slimmest and lightest GTX SLI gaming laptop in the world

Aorus is a new name in the gaming laptop market. The Gigabyte sub-brand got a chance to show off its first product at CES this year – the Aorus X7.

The new laptop has the kind of high performance components you would expect from a gaming machine – a 17.3-inch Full HD anti-glare display, an Intel Haswell Core i7 4700HQ processor, dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPUs, up to 32 GB of RAM, up to 500 GB of SSD storage, up to 1 TB of HDD storage, 802.11 ac wifi, and a generous selection of ports.

When it comes to a gaming rig, style is almost as important as portability, though performance is by far the most important factor. The X7 seems to have all three with well placed vents that add to its look, a frame that is only 0.9 inches thick and weighs only 6.39 pounds (amazingly light for a gaming rig), and what should be excellent performance given the specs.

The Aorus X7 will be available in March. Prices range from US$2099 to US$2799.
