Earlier today, the LG G Flex 2 became available for pre-order over at a few German online retailers such as Amazon and MediaMarket. Although the retailers make no mention of the launch date, rumors suggest that the handset will start shipping by the end of the month.
As the name suggests, the LG G Flex 2 is the successor of the LG G Flex. The special feature in the series is the curved and flexible P-OLED screen, one that fits in a curved case. P-OLED is a special kind of AMOLED that's actually made out of plastic, a material that can bend more easily than glass. The panel measures 5.5 inches across the diagonal and runs at a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels.
Another interesting aspect about the LG G Flex 2 is that this is the first smartphone announced to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. The 64-bit chip will be paired with 2GB of RAM.
LG has integrated 16GB of internal storage, but you can use the microSD card slot if you need more space. Other specs include a 13MP primary camera with OIS and autofocus, a 2.1MP secondary sensor, a 3000mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and an infrared port. The LG G Flex 2 is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
