This 5-inch handset uses a MediaTek MT6737 processor, next to just 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, and a 2,200 mAh battery. The price and launch date are not public yet, but we might find out the details soon.
Alcatel has just introduced a new budget handset. This smartphone is expected to hit the market this fall and is called Alcatel U5 HD. Closely related to the Alcatel U5, the U5 HD comes with just a few improvements over its predecessor.
The processor, memory, and storage space did not suffer any changes, so the Alcatel U5 HD features a MediaTek MT6737 chip, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB internal storage, supplemented by up to 32 GB via a microSD card slot. The 5-inch IPS touchscreen offers 1,280 x 720 pixels. There is also a 5 MP front camera. The main image shooter provides 8 MP. The battery has 2,200 mAh and the operating system installed is Android Nougat.
According to the official product page, the only color choices are white and black. This handset is expected to surface at this year's IFA trade show, so we will probably get back to it soon.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
