Actions Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company from China known for its portable multimedia and mobile SoC solutions which has just released its new high performance ATM7039 chipset aimed at Android tablets.
This advanced tablet solution comes with full Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean support and consists of a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor at 1.6 GHz, PowerVR graphics with 2K by 4K decoding "including support of the newest international standard--high definition HVEC/H.265 video" and a dual channel 64-bit DRAM interface. In addition to the above, the ATM7039 SoC features intelligent brightness control that improves autonomy and reduces eye strain.

Thanks to this SoC, new quad-core tablets sporting resolutions up to 2,048X1,536 pixels may soon hit the market, offering an excellent performance/cost ratio.
