Acer Iconia A501 the 10-inch tab is to offer 4G connectivity with AT&T networks

The Acer Iconia Tab A501 10.1-inch tablet is to be released with AT&T mobile broadband and Android Honeycomb will be available to customers in the US as reported by Acer America. This model is mainly designed for consumers as well as for small businesses, where AT&T will be providing the HSPA+ technology with enhanced data transmission speed up to 4x faster.

Designed for HD entertainment Iconia is provided with a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. The screen provides 1280 x 800 pixels TFT WXGA display and provides an optimal 80-degree wide viewing angle and high color contrast. It is powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile 1GHz dual-core processor and integrated GeForce GPU, which make it easy for the consumers to enjoy high definition video, speedy browsing, multi-tasking, digital media playback and some flash based sites.

Two cameras are also provided with this model one of 5megapixels at its rear while the other is in its front of 2megapixels. For interface connectivity the Acer Iconia is provided with HDMI port, full sized USB 2.0 port, microSDHC slot and a micro USB port. This model has dimensions measuring 10.24 x 6.97 x 0.53inches and weighs about 1.69pounds (equivalent to about 760gms).

The Acer Iconia Tab A501 will be hitting the markets of the US by the 18th of September. The Manufacturers have suggested the price of $499.99 for the 16GB model and $549.99 for the 32GB model. Data Plans provided by AT&T are $15.00 for 250MB and $25.00 for 2GB.
