The Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 gaming laptop is back on sale at a pretty sweet price. The laptop is, once again, retailing at a 32% discount compared to the list price, making the RTX 4070-powered laptop a good mid-range option.

Launched last year with Meteor Lake CPUs and RTX 40 GPUs, the Predator Helios Neo 14 sits in the middle of Acer’s lineup of gaming laptops. As such, it can be a good option for gamers who don’t want to shell out for high-end machines but also don’t want to take a big performance downgrade.

We reported a month ago that B&H Photo was selling the Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 for $600 less than the list price. However, the promotion was only available for a limited time. We are happy to inform that the Predator Helios Neo 14 is now back on sale at the same solid price of $1,249.99 at B&H Photo (linked at the end of the article).

Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 is a long-lasting QHD gamer

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 has all the hallmarks of a serious mid-range contender with a 3K IPS panel that refreshes at 165 Hz, an RTX 4070 laptop GPU, a Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, 32 GB of memory, and plenty of ports. The connectors include everything from two Type-A and one Thunderbolt 4 ports to an HDMI 2.1 out. There is even a microSD card slot.

Performance-wise, with an RTX 4070 laptop GPU and a Core Ultra 9 185H, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 can push modern titles at FHD/QHD without relying too much on upscalers like FSR or DLSS. Moreover, when connected to a color-accurate external monitor, the laptop can also make for a capable content-creation machine.

That said, a 14-inch chassis incorporating a powerful CPU and GPU means that the Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 can get loud and hot under load. However, as we noted in our review, the emissions are moderate during everyday use.

Finally, a rather large 76 Wh battery allowed the Predator Helios Neo 14 to last a respectable 8.5 hours in our WLAN test. This a pretty solid result for a performant mid-range gaming laptop.

All in all, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 14, for just $1,249.99, is a sweet deal considering the hardware, performance, and battery life on offer.
