Acer Aspire Switch 12 S convertible was first showcased at IFA 2015 in Berlin back in September. Today, at CES 2016, the Taiwanese manufacture finally made the device official.

The Switch 12 S is a high-end hybrid device, sporting a 12.5-inch, 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) display, as well as a 6th generation Intel Core M processors (no models were specified) and running Windows 10. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The convertible comes with 128 or 256 GB of SSD storage and 4 or 8 GB of RAM. Other features include an Intel RealSense camera, USB 3.1/Thunderbolt 3, microSD, two USB 3.0 ports, micro-HDMI, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

Despite the solid hardware specifications, Acer is putting more emphasis on the design. The Switch 12 S sports the company’s newly designed Snap Hinge, which allows the device to be transformed into four different modes: Notebook, Tablet, Display and Tent.

A FullHD display variant will be available at $999 (with a 128 GB SSD). Pricing for the 4K variant has not been revealed yet. The device will be available in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and China next month.
