Raindrop. After the smaller One 522, a larger alternative in the Acer Aspire One 722, also equipped with an AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics, shows up at our office. Is it a sensible range expansion or will the waves that it causes subside quite fast?

The Aspire One 722 stands out in a crowd due to its design and performance. It humbles every other similarly priced Atom-based netbook. Moreover, it packs in an HDMI port and a bright 11.6" widescreen display. On the other hand, its keyboard could have been better, and the system has a bit of a heating issue. Still, considering the performance, it's a good deal for folks looking for a decent netbook without crossing the 20k mark.

With its netbook pricing and eye-catching design, the Acer Aspire One 722 is a pretty good value. You get a larger, higher-res screen than a netbook, nearly 7 hours of battery life, and the ability to play HD video for just $379. Other ultraportables powered by AMD's E Series processor offer more oomph--and the keyboard could be better--but overall the Aspire One 722 is a solid pick for bargain hunters.

Once upon a time, you could buy a cheap netbook for well under $400, but you got a really slow one. Chapter Two: Netbook makers made them better, but they charged about as much as full-size notebooks. A strong all-around netbook, this Aspire is one of the best media-focused models on the market. It's speedy for the price, and the excellent display works well with 720p video.

While it may feel like Netbooks have dropped off the face of the earth in the post-iPad era, inexpensive 10- and 11-inch laptops still lurk out there, although they're changing with the times. The Acer Aspire One 722-BZ608 is a budget-priced 11-inch laptop that's more powerful than a Netbook, but not as fast as some higher-priced 11-inch alternatives.

Acer has priced the 722 at Rs.18,560 (MOP), which is a good price for a 11.6-inch netbook. But we’d recommend you put in a little more money and get one with a E-350 APU, as it’s a lot faster and Windows responds better as well. Currently, HP’s DM1 netbook is one of the best in the market for a little over Rs.22,000.

The Acer Aspire One 722 is a surprisingly strong value especially considering it is priced around $300 to $330. This AMD C-50 equipped netbook offers roughly the same level of performance as an Intel Atom based one but with better graphics thanks ot the AMD integrated graphics and a larger 11.6-inch display.

The Acer Aspire One 722-BZ480 is a solid netbook for the traveling PC user on a tight budget. Its $329 price point is alluring, and its AMD APU will help it make easy work of online media. If you have another $250 to spend and want more processing and graphics power, you may want to consider the IdeaPad S205 instead; its higher-level APU delivers more punch in both areas. For a more digestible $120 difference, the dm1z gives you even faster parts for the price, 1GB more RAM, a better typing experience, and a faster 7,200rpm hard drive.

If you’re looking for a modern, high quality 11.6-inch netbook, or any netbook, I really can’t recommend the Acer Aspire One AO722 highly enough, and it is easy to see why it’s currently the best selling netbook on Amazon. Not only does it have a larger higher quality display than most netbooks, it is also more powerful and features HD graphics at an amazing price of just $329, now down to just $325 from Amazon.

The AO722-0828 is a well-performing netbook, and it's hard to pass up such a sweet price tag. But if you need a netbook with better processing power and a battery that will get you through that flight and beyond, then I would recommend you check out the Editors' Choice HP Pavilion dm1z.

Minimal upgrade. Acer has updated the Aspire One 722 to offer more performance. In this review, we will determine whether Acer has achieved its goal with the inclusion of the AMD C-60 CPU and Radeon HD 6290 GPU and will also examine what other improvements Acer has made.

75.38%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
