ASUS teases next-gen Eee PC netbook

Teaser
Company teases new netbook ahead of Computex conference

Computex 2011 is just around the corner, and ASUS is doing their best to snag the spotlight ahead of the conference’s launch next week. The Taiwanese company already teased us with images of a new phone/tablet and is at it again with their latest mystery.

According to ASUS’s Computex 2011 teaser app, “the next evolution of the Eee PC” will be unveiled at the tech convention. Unfortunately, the page doesn’t provide much info, and only informs us that “this super-slim sensation has a twist”.

Interestingly enough, the folks at ASUS are also asking people if Windows is a firm requirement for the everyday needs, and we could possibly see an Eee PC lineup running Linux, Chrome OS, or Meego exclusively. And although we would definitely welcome an ARM based ASUS netbook, NotebookItalia has managed to uncover the following picture, and no radical changes seem to be visible.

Of course all will be revealed starting May 31st, but till then ASUS still has a couple teases up their sleeve and we're dutifully waiting for their next offering.
