100 mechanical keys: Keychron unveils huge macro pad

Keychron already offers numerous mechanical keyboards, such as the K3 Max ($105 on Amazon), and now the manufacturer is introducing its largest macro pad to date. The C100 8K features ten rows, each with ten keys, for a total of 100 keys. 96 of these keys are unlabeled and have no function in the factory settings.
Using the QMK firmware and the Keychron Launcher web app, each key can be freely programmed to, for example, execute macros, open an app, or perform a specific function. The four keys in the corners control the RGB LED lighting and cannot be reprogrammed. The macro pad is designed to be particularly convenient for directly accessing most functions in games or creative apps without having to use keyboard combinations or navigate through menus.
The Macro Pad is equipped with mechanical Keychron Apex switches that can be swapped out while the device is in use. The ASA keycaps are partially transparent and are designed to be particularly durable thanks to a combination of PBT and PC. The Keychron C100 8K connects exclusively via USB-C and achieves a polling rate of 8,000 Hz. The product is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
