Insiders reveal that 10240 is the final release to manufacturing Windows 10 build and the Redmond giant may unveil this by the end of the week or simply focus on the launch itself and skip the announcement.
Microsoft released Windows 10 build 10240 to both the Fast and Slow rings of Windows Insiders two days ago. The version watermark is now gone from the desktop and, from now on, the Redmond giant will only provide Windows 10 updates for testers through Windows Update. Leaving the official information aside, Microsoft insiders who spoke to The Verge revealed that build 10240 is the final release to manufacturing copy.
If the above turns out to be true, this means that machines that sell loaded with Windows 10 will come with this build and PC makers may already work on this. The readiness of the RTM build has not been announced by Microsoft yet and this may never happen. There are only two weeks left until Windows 10 launches and the company might just overlook making this official and focus on pushing current Windows 7/8.1 users to upgrade as soon as possible.
We will surely hear more about Windows 10 until July 29, so stay tuned.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
