ViewSonic gTablet now with Adobe Flash support

Teaser
New OTA update includes Flash as well as additional minor but much-welcomed enhancements

The ViewSonic gTablet (not to be confused with the LG G-Slate) can now be upgraded for Adobe Flash support through an over-the-air (OTA) update. This should allow for a number of Flash games to be playable, as well as embedded Youtube videos around the web.

The good news doesn’t stop there either. The official ViewSonic update will also include additional functionalities such as USB keybord and mouse support, Spanish and French language support, and screen lock options for saving battery life.

First released last November in the U.S., the 10.1-inch tablet launched with Android 2.2, a 1024x600 resolution screen, a 1.0GHz dual-core Tegra 2 APU, and 512MB of RAM.

The gTablet can now be found online for as low as $299 new. For those existing gTablet owners, the new OTA update will become available through a notification pop-up after a hard reboot of the device.
