Top Cybertruck model price may be announced January 26 along with Tesla's 2022 product roadmap

There will be a number of news when Tesla announces its next quarterly results, it seems, and not only of the financial kind. Tesla will be reporting its Q4 financials on January 26, as well as the results for the full 2021 that may turn out to be its most profitable year so far. What's more, it could finally be revealing the Cybertruck electric pickup price for the top trim model and disclosing the 2022 Tesla products roadmap. Back in December, Elon Musk confirmed that for the January session he will make an exception to the new rule according to which he will no longer be present and will instead be leaving the CFO to fend off investor questions each quarter.

Since Musk's quip "product roadmap update on next earnings call" was given in response to a Cybertruck release update question at the time, it may be safe to assume that the electric pickup price and models will be making news during the January 26 earnings call. So far, Tesla has only disclosed the following Cybertruck model prices:

• Cybertruck RWD single-motor model price: US$39,900
• Cybertruck AWD dual-motor price: US$49,900
• Cybertruck AWD tri-motor price: US$69,900 (500+ miles range)
• Cybertruck AWD quad-motor price: TBA on January 26

Subsequently, Elon Musk went on record saying that there will be a new top Cybertruck model in 2022, and this one will sport a dedicated electric motor for each wheel. The quad-motor Cybertruck AWD version is expected to be the most expensive of the trims, but exactly by how much will Tesla boost its price and will the rest of the trims remain at the same tags remains to be heard. Tesla's Q4 earnings call and product roadmap update may also be a source of news about the Tesla Semi truck and the Model Y production schedule for the new factories in Berlin and Austin, TX. The sheer volume of Tesla Cybertruck preorders has already surpassed BMW's market cap, though, indicating that that's where all eyes and ears will be on January 26.
