Samsung will announce new Galaxy Watch models at next month's Galaxy Unpacked event. Unlike last year which only had two, there will be three this year — the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
Previous leaks already revealed the Galaxy Watch 8 duo will have a new design, one similar to that of last year's Galaxy Ultra. Now more renders have surfaced showing the three watches from different angles, and providing what is arguably our best look yet.
The official renders, which were first posted by PhoneArena in collaboration with Evan Blass, show the Galaxy Watch 8 in Graphite Gray with a minimalist watch face. The watch has two physical buttons on the right side and two slits on the left.
As seen in the renders, the default strap for the Galaxy Watch 8 has a smooth exterior but a ribbed interior unlike the Galaxy Watch 7 (available on Amazon for $199) which has a strap that is ribbed on both sides. The Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to be available in 40mm and 44mm variants as well as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and LTE variants.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is shown in a white colorway, although the case is actually light gray/silver while the straps seem to be a mix of leather and rubber. While it also has two physical buttons on the right, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic also has a digital crown like the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The classic model will also differ from the standard version with its rotating dial and the tachymeter on the bezel. It has been reported that Samsung will offer the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in a single 46mm size only. However like the standard model, it should be available in Bluetooth and LTE versions.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) seems to be the most stunning of all three. Pictured in Titanium Blue, the watch is shown to have a blue bezel and matching blue straps. It doesn't have a rotating bezel like the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic but it has a tachymeter, two physical buttons, and a digital crown.
When it was first revealed that the Galaxy Watch 8 series will adopt the squircle design of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, there are those who weren't happy about it. However, there's a chance many might eventually warm up to the new design, starting with these new renders.
