According to multiple reports, Honor has settled on a new Qualcomm SoC for two of the three devices in its upcoming 50 series. Qualcomm briefly listed the SoC in question before removing it, but Honor is expected to use the Snapdragon 888 on the 50 Pro Plus.

A few days ago, ZEALER leaked a render of the Honor 50, Honor's return to smartphones following last year's sale from Huawei. Initially, people assumed that Honor had chosen the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 for the Honor 50, but multiple sources claim that this is not the case.

Instead, Digital Chat StationZEALER and @RODENT950 assert that Honor has settled on the SM7325, presumably a cut-down variant of the SM7350, also known as the Snapdragon 780G. In fact, Qualcomm briefly listed the SM7325 on its website, which will go by the name of the Snapdragon 778G. You can read more about the Snapdragon 778G here.

Additionally, @RODENT950 believes that Honor will use the SM7325 in the Honor 50 Pro, so it should also compete with Snapdragon 780G-powered handsets. However, the Honor 50 Pro Plus is still believed to feature the Snapdragon 888, currently Qualcomm's premier smartphone SoC. Honor is expected to launch the 50 series next month, although it is unclear if the launch will extend beyond China.
